Adelaide bookmaker Curly Seal will have to pay out $370,000 after he finally received the official verdict in the Greyhound Sting affair from the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner.
Seal was hit hard by Sydney punter Eddie Hayson who along with an associate beat the bookie after putting $8,000 on five other greyhounds just as the dogs were being loaded into the boxes.
With the large sums invested on the five other greyhounds, the price on Lucy Light blew out to $13.00 from the expected $1.00 the win $1.00 the place dividend on the Queensland TAB.
Seal appealed to the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner who handed down his verdict this week.
Seal is still undecided if he will appeal to the Independent Gambling Authority or end the affair by paying Mr Hayson.
