Fallon wins Irish Oaks

Kieren Fallon landed the Irish Oaks aboard the Aiden O'Brien trained Alexandrova overnight.

Currently banned from riding in Britain for an alleged involvement in a race-fixing scam, Fallon added the Irish Oaks to the Epsom Oaks to take the feature double for fillies for the third time in his career.

After settling at the rear of the field, Fallon weaved a passage through the field to win by four lengths from Scottish Stage with a further length to Rising Cross in third.

The win by Alexandrova brought up a 12th Irish Classic for Ballydoyle trainer Aidan O'Brien.
