STC announce $100k for The Run to the Roses

Sydney Turf Club has announced it has allocated $100,000 to its latest addition of Black Type feature events 'The Run to the Rose'.

Following last week's recommendations by the ARB's Australian Pattern Committee, 'The Run to the Rose' has been granted Listed status.

The Quality Handicap for 3YO's, to be run over 1300m on Premiere Stakes Day August 19, will be the final lead up to the $1million Gr 3-Tooheys New Golden Rose on September 2.

In past years, 'The Run to the Rose' has been won by top class performers including Paratroopers and Eremein, which illustrates the high rating the race has achieved thus far.
